Man Charged With Attempted Murder For Firing Shot Into Car In Mount Vernon The investigation into an October shooting in Westchester has led to an attempted murder charge for a suspect who struck his victim in a moving car. Bronx resident Dahjuantay Douglas, 21, was arraigned over the weekend on an attempted murder charge, following a non-fatal shooting in downtown Mount Vernon, Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino, Jr., announced. According to the felony complaint, on Oct. 4, Douglas fired one shot in the air and a second into a moving car, striking a passenger at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Oct. 4 in the area of Gramatan and West Sidney avenues. …
