Traffic Incident Shuts Down Roadway In Westchester: Developing A traffic incident has resulted in part of a busy Northern Westchester route being closed in one direction.  The incident happened in the area of Route 9A and Pleasantville Road in Briarcliff Manor, the village's fire department reported on Wednesday, July 26 around 4:45 p.m.  As a result of the incident, access to Route 9A southbound in the area has been suspended. The fire broke out around 9:45 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 22, while patrons were dining in the iconic restaurant located at at 265 Highland Ave., in Briarcliff Manor, said the Briarcliff Manor Fire Department. Ruth Alexandra Cajamarca-Paccha of Ossining was killed around 7:42 a.m. Sunday during a head-on crash on Route 9 just south of Sleepy Hollow Road in Briarcliff Manor, said Mount Pleasant Police Capt. Person Extricated In Head-On Crash At Route 100/9A Intersection Two motorists and their passengers was hospitalized overnight after being extricated from his vehicle following a head-on collision with a second car in Briarcliff. Volunteers from the Briarcliff Manor Fire Department were dispatched to Route 100, near the Route 9A interchange, behind the bus depot late on Monday night, where there were reports of a head-on crash that left one person pinned in his vehicle.
