Newly-Named Tropical Storm Bret Expected To Become Hurricane: Here's Projected Path
Newly-named Tropical Storm Bret is expected to become the first hurricane of the 2023 season.
Tropical Depression 3, which developed on Monday morning, June 19 in the central Atlantic, strengthened to tropical-storm status later in the day.
“While it is rare to get a storm to develop over the south-central Atlantic in June, it is not completely unheard of,” said AccuWeather Tropical Meteorologist Alex DaSilva.

Early Spring Storm Will Bring Mix Of Rain, Sleet, Snow: Here's What's Coming
A complex early spring storm will bring a mix of rain, sleet, and snow to the region.
The time frame for the storm is overnight Friday, March 24 into Saturday morning, March 25, according to the National Weather Service.
"Some areas not too far inland can expect at least a wintry mix of snow, sleet, and rain, with areas well inland seeing the potential for heavy, accumulating snow," said AccuWeather Meteorologist Dean DeVore.

Here's Latest Timing, Snowfall Projections For Potent Storm Taking Aim On Region
A significant storm system is expected to bring hazardous driving conditions to much of the region during the evening on Monday, Feb. 27, and into the morning commute on Tuesday, Feb. 28, according to the National Weather Service.
In some areas farther north, 6 inches or more of snowfall is expected.

A rare comet last seen 50,000 years ago during the Stone Age is set to make an appearance and NASA is providing new guidance on where in the night sky you should look -- and when.
Comet C/2022 E3 (ZTF), known as the "green comet," was discovered by astronomers in early March of 2022 inside the orbit of Jupiter.
It will pass closest to Earth on Wednesday, Feb. 1, and Thursday, Feb. 2

Storm Watch: Fast-Moving System Brings Rain, Sleet, With Up To Foot Of Snow Farther North
A complex storm is bringing rain to much of the region, with sleet farther inland, and as much as a foot of snow in some spots in upstate New York and northern New England.
The storm, which arrived late Sunday afternoon, Jan. 22, has continued into Monday morning, Jan. 23.
