MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- An 85-year-old woman was apparently murdered in her Mount Vernon home during a burglary at an unknown time, according to a LoHud.com report.

The body of Emma Gruber was reportedly discovered on Wednesday after she had been reported missing. Her car had been covered with snow for some time, according to the article.

Mount Vernon police are reportedly searching for suspects in the case.
