Police confirmed that at approximately 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, a 56-year-old woman was struck while walking toward the station to go to work when she was struck by a Dodge Durango near Grand Street. She was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident by first responders.
According to reports, the driver was questioned by police, but no charges have been filed. Police are currently in the process of investigating the accident, and are reviewing surveillance video. Forensics experts with the Westchester Department of Public Safety are reconstructing the accident.
