Ashley McDuffie's boyfriend, Jason Myers, confessed to killing her and dumping her body in Seton Falls Park in the Bronx, just past the border of Mount Vernon, ABC 7 reports.
Myers is not the father of McDuffie's 6-year-old daughter and 3-year-old son, according to the report.
McDuffie's family called police on Aug. 19 after she failed to pick up her two children in Stamford, Conn., where they were visiting their grandmother, according to the New York Daily News.
A vigil was scheduled to be held for McDuffie at Hudson Park in New Rochelle at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
