The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to Westchester residents regarding the residency of 40-year-old Sampson Siepo, who has moved from a residence in New Rochelle to an apartment on Fulton Avenue in Mount Vernon.
The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Siepo as a Level 2 threat, which means he is at "moderate risk of a repeat offense."
According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Siepo had sexual intercourse with a 16-year-old girl in September 2015. His victim was not a stranger, and was a student of Siepo's, according to the Division of Criminal Justice Services. He was arrested by the New York City Police Department Sex Offender Unit and convicted of third-degree rape of a victim less than 17 years old the following year.
Siepo was subsequently sentenced to 10 years probation. He is now under the jurisdiction of the Mount Vernon City Police Department.
