The Alligator was captured on Friday night not long after a local man took a picture of it, authorities said.

It is not known how long the reptile was living in the pond at Wilson's Woods Park. Police said it may have been left there by a pet owner after the alligator became to big to maintain.

Police said there were no reports of any dangerous run-ins with the alligator.
