The holiday party for will take place from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. The Recreation Department said in a press release that admission is $1. Teens will be able to skate to music, and skates will be made available for those who don't have them.
“Young people ages 13 to 17 will have a safe place to go to enjoy the holiday,” said Recreation Commissioner Darren Morton. “Preparing for Christmas can a busy time for many families, and sometimes we forget about our teens having fun things to do.”
Anyone who wants to skate must have either a school or government ID. Parents should drive their teenagers up to the entrance and encourage them to meet friends inside. No loitering will be permitted.
