Friday, Feb. 22

Safe Driving Class: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The AARP will hold a safe-driving class at the Mount Vernon Public Library, 28 S. First Ave., Mount Vernon.

Arts and Crafts for Children: 4 to 5 p.m. The Mount Vernon Public Library will have an arts and crafts hour for kids. 28 S. First Ave., Mount Vernon.

Concert at the Bayou: 11 p.m. The Fingees perform at the Bayou Restaurant in Mount Vernon. Admission is $5. For more information call (914) 668-2634

Saturday, Feb. 23

Black History Month Celebration: 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Mount Vernon Branch of the NAACP and Mount Vernon Theater Company will hold a celebration of black history at the Doles Center, 250 S. 6th Ave., Mount Vernon.

Sunday, Feb. 24

Early Worship Service: 7:30 a.m. Macedonia Church will have a worship service. 141 S. 9th Ave., Mount Vernon.

Praise Worship: 8 a.m. There will be a worship service at the First Presbyterian Church, 199 N. Columbus Ave.

Sunday Worship: 7:30, 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. Grace Baptist Church conducts worship services. 52 S. 6th Ave.
