Mount Vernon's Grace Baptist Church Celebrates Dr. King's Life

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- Pay your respects to the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., during the United Black Clergy of Westchester Observance Service at Grace Baptist Church on Monday, Jan. 18.

Starting at noon, the event will feature speakers, including State Assemblyman Michael Blake, (Bronx, D-79), and the presentation of the group's annual awards recipients.

This year's winners include Mrs. Bert Littlejohn, Drum Major for Justice Award, and Ms. DaMia Harris-Madden, the Community Service Award.

The church is at 52 South 6th Ave in Mount Vernon. All are invited.
