Man Nabbed For Making, Selling Guns From Home In Area, Authorities Say A Hudson Valley man has been arrested following a months-long investigation into the alleged manufacture, sale, and possession of illegal firearms. David Goldberg Jr., age 23, of Carmel, was arrested on Tuesday, Dec. 2, following a warrant search of his residence, Putnam County Sheriff Robert Langley Jr., said.  According to Langley, deputies, and members of the department's Narcotic Enforcement Unit seized 10 unlawfully possessed pistols, one unlawfully possessed assault rifle, 67 large capacity ammunition feeding devices, as well as tools and parts to make more than 20 additional fir…

Putnam Sheriff Reports On Number Of Gun, Drug Arrests For November Hard work on behalf of the Putnam County Sheriff's Office the county has ended with fewer drugs and guns on the streets. According to Putnam  County Sheriff Robert L. Langley, Jr., during the month of November, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Enforcement Unit made a total of nine arrests. The arrests include:  Four arrests for possession of heroin.  Four arrests resulted in the seizure of 500 Xanax tablets and concentrated cannabis. "It was learned that the driver did stop to check that the 5-year-old running in the roadway was OK," Town of Carmel Police Chief Michael Cazzari said late Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 4. The incident happened around 7:38 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14 in Mahopac. Due to the injuries and the mechanism of injury, the Putnam County sheriff's deputy was transported to Danbury Hospital by the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department’s Ambulance where it was determined that the injuries did not appear to be life-threatening, Putnam County Sheriff Robert L.
