21-Year-Old Charged After SUV Crashes Into Hudson Valley Home
A man is facing charges after an SUV crashed into a house in the Hudson Valley. The chain of events began around 2:10 a.m. Saturday, April 6 in Orange County. New York State Police troopers from the Montgomery barracks attempted to stop a 2018 Nissan Murano on Creek Run Road in the town of Newburgh for vehicle and traffic law violations. The SUV failed to comply and fled from the troopers, state police said. The lowest percentage of hospital employees who have received the COVID-19 vaccine in New York reside in the Hudson Valley. New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said that 57.9 percent of hospital workers in the Hudson Valley have received the COVID-19 vaccine, while statewide, a total of 60.8 percent of medical professionals have been vaccinated. A month after a newborn was found floating in a hotel room toilet in a pool of blood, the baby boy is doing "very well." "It's really the bright side of this story," said Town of Newburgh Police Lt. A motorcyclist driving on the wrong side of the road was killed after striking a vehicle head-on Tuesday night in the Hudson Valley, police announced Wednesday morning.
