Crashes, Dangerous Driving, Multiple DWIs Occur In Hudson Valley Over Holiday Weekend Several people, including Connecticut residents, were apprehended for impaired driving over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend in the Hudson Valley, including several incidents involving crashes and dangerous driving behaviors, authorities announced. The arrests, which occurred in Putnam County between Tuesday, Nov. 26, and Wednesday, Dec. 4, were announced by the Putnam County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday. Transformer Fire Closes Part Of Busy Roadway In Hudson Valley: Developing A blaze has caused part of a busy Hudson Valley route to close in both directions. In Putnam County, Route 312 in the town of Southeast is closed to traffic in both directions at the intersection with Interstate 84 late Monday morning, Sept. 25, according to reports.  The closure was caused by a transformer fire in the area.
