$4.1M Paving Project Begins On Route In Northern Westchester To Fix 'Unacceptable' Disrepair An extensive $4.1 million paving project meant to greatly improve a well-traveled route in Northern Westchester has commenced.  The project, which will consist of the resurfacing and paving of around three miles of Route 35/202 in Yorktown, has officially begun, New York State Senator Pete Harckham and Assemblyman Matt Slater announced on Monday, Nov. 13.  The work will focus on a stretch of the busy route beginning at the Taconic State Parkway and ending at the intersection with Route 118 in the commercial center of Yorktown Heights, according to Harckham's office.…

Four Injured In Crash That Causes Hourslong Road Closure In Northern Westchester Four people were injured in a serious two-vehicle crash with extrication in Northern Westchester. Yorktown Heights Fire responded to the scene of the crash on Route 118 around 6:08 a.m., Friday, May 10, with Yorktown Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Empress Emergency Medical Services 34-Medic 1, and the Yorktown Police Department to Saw Mill River Road for a motor vehicle accident, the department said.
