Person Rushed To Trauma Center After 3-Car Crash In Northern Westchester A person was rescued from their vehicle and hospitalized following a three-car crash at a Northern Westchester intersection.  The crash happened in Yorktown just after 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 17, when three cars collided at the intersection of London Road and Quinlan Street, according to the Yorktown Heights Volunteer Fire Department.  Arriving fire crews soon discovered that one person was trapped in their vehicle. Firefighters worked to stabilize the car before removing the front and rear passenger door to free the patient.  The person was then taken to a nearby trauma…

Road Closure Alert Issued For Northern Westchester Street A busy Northern Westchester roadway will be closed for several days this week as crews continue work in the area. The Yorktown Police Department issued an alert warning that beginning on Wednesday, Quinlan Street will be closed immediately south of Manchester Road. The closures are expected to begin at 7 a.m. and last through approximately 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15. Residents who live in the area will be able to drive as far south as 3333 Quinlan St. Northbound - toward the Jefferson Valley Mall - residents can drive as far as 3322 Quinlan St. Police noted that there will be detours post…
