Blaze Tears Through Northern Westchester Multi-Family Residence A multi-family residence in Northern Westchester was gutted by an intense blaze that took hours to extinguish, fire officials said. The fire began on Sunday, Feb. 4 around 10:15 a.m. at a two-and-a-half-story residence on Orchard Street in Peekskill, according to the city's fire department.  Arriving fire crews soon found heavy flames coming from the rear of the wood-frame building and began stretching a hose line to begin dousing the blaze.
