Two varieties of salads sold at Trader Joe’s in New York and Connecticut are being recalled due to potential Listeria contamination.
Trader Joe's Egg Salad in six-ounce quantities, and 20-ounce containers of Trader Joe's Old Fashioned Potato Salad dated for use through Friday, Dec. 27, are being voluntarily pulled from the shelves by Bakkavor Foods USA, to the FDA.

Listeria Concerns Prompt Recall Of Some Trader Joe's Fresh Products
Trader Joe’s has issued a recall for fresh food products shipped to the area that may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
The grocery conglomerate announced this week that is recalling refrigerated products that were sold in Alabama, Connecticut, Washington, D.C., Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Vermont and Wisconsin stores.

Melon Recalled Due To Salmonella Outbreak
A recall has been issued for melon products sold in 16 states, including New York, after being linked to a salmonella outbreak, The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said.
Ninety-three people were infected, 23 of whom were hospitalized. No deaths have been reported.
The recall is for cut cantaloupe, watermelon and honeydew produced by Caito Foods LLC. The fruit has been sold under various brands or labels at Kroger, Walmart, Trader Joe's, Target and Whole Foods.
