Driver Escapes After Crashing Into Water Off Sprain Parkway A driver was able to escape injury after crashing into the water off the Sprain Brook Parkway, according to the New York State Police. The crash took place around 11 a.m., Monday, April 29, when the car plunged into the Grassy Sprain Reservoir in Yonkers, said Trooper AJ Hicks. Two northbound lanes of the Spring Brook Parkway in Yonkers were closed for more than hour while a tow truck was brought in to remove the vehicle. The driver, who was not injured, was able to get out of the vehicle, Hicks said. The roadway has reopened. Police are investigating the crash.  This is a developin…
