Metro-North Announces New Safety Improvements, Positive Train Control
The MTA has taken steps to ensure the safety of Metro-North riders. Metro-North President Catherine Rinaldi announced that “Positive Train Control” has been extended to cover nearly 90 percent of the Hudson Line. All Hudson Line trains, including Amtrak and CSX, are now operating in Positive Train Control for the 67 miles between Marble Hill and Poughkeepsie. Update: Metro-North Lines Now Operating On, Close To Schedule
Update, 4 p.m. The Hudson, Harlem and New Haven Lines are now operating on or close to schedule, Metro-North reports. Update, 3:30 p.m. Residual delays remain across all Metro-North lines after the 138th Street Bridge was opened to let a ship pass through.
