New Coyote Sighting Reported In Westchester A new coyote sighting has been reported in Westchester. An area resident reported that there was a coyote making the rounds this week around Cooper Drive in New Rochelle during a late night trip through the neighborhood.  According to the resident, “a neighbor did what we have been told - extended his arms fully out to the side, made a lot of noise, but the coyote did not run away. Coyote Sighting Causes Lock-In At Several Schools In Westchester Several Westchester schools were put on lock-in Thursday following a coyote sighting on school property. The coyote was seen around 10:45 a.m. Thursday on the Greenburgh school district's Warburg campus on Hartsdale Avenue which includes the Woodlands Middle/High School, Lee F. Jackson School, and the Early Childhood Program. As a precaution, the schools were placed in lock-in, which means no one including staff and students can leave the buildings, the district said in a Facebook post.
