The Vikings, who are now 6-3, stepped up in competition to play the larger Ossining roster. Valhalla will play its final game of the season Sunday against Tuckahoe.
Ossining scored twice early before Valhalla began to move the ball. Vikings quarterback Brody McGuinn went to the air and found Sebastian Pacheco sprinting down the left side for a 22-yard gain in the second quarter, but the drive fell short.
On its next possession, Valhalla threatened again when McGuinn handed off to Joseph Pecora, who stiff-armed an Ossining defender and rumbled for 25 yards. McGuinn hit Pacheco for 20 yards and then passed to speedster Jordan Rush, who swept around to the right and dashed into the end zone to get Valhalla on the board.
Pacheco and Pecora piled up the yards in the second half, with the duo combining for more than 100 rushing yards. McGuinn completed eight of 10 passes to Pacheco, Rush and Preston Williams in a strong passing game.
Vikings defenders Ritchie Nagashima and Matt Connollly anchored the line, while Marlon Wise and Matt Manuele added support to the defense.
