Tracy Larmonie, 24, of Mount Vernon, was arrested on Wednesday for larceny, interfering with an officer, and possession of narcotics, said Milford Police Officer Joseph Dempsey.

Larmonie was arrested after police responded to the ShopRite store at 935 Boston Post Road (Route 1) on a report of a shoplifter in custody, said Dempsey.

An investigation led to the arrest of Larmonie who is accused of taking more than $40 worth of merchandise from the store without paying.

When approached by officers she provided a false name and was found to be in possession of marijuana during the arrest process, Dempsey said.

She was released on $1,000 bond and is due to appear in court on March 5.
