The fire was reported to the Irvington Fire Department around 2:59 p.m. Sunday, March 10, at a home on Blueberry Hill Road, said Fire Chief Anthony Tarricone.

Arriving firefighters found the flames and smoke contained to the living room and master bedroom he said.

Firefighters had to stretch a hose up a long hill to attack the fire due to the location of the home. No residents or firefighters were injured.

Irvington was assisted on the scene by Dobbs Ferry, Rivertown, and Hastings fire departments.
