Police launched a manhunt after two suspects allegedly approached a man with a handgun and stole his watch, prompting an investigation in Westchester.

Officers from the Greenburgh Police Department received a report at approximately 8 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 4, from a man who said he was the victim of an armed robbery in the area of Thomas Street in Edgemont.

Police said the victim told officers that as he was in his driveway, two men approached him, one with a handgun. The two men then demanded the resident’s watch, which they took and fled on foot.

Members of the Greenburgh Police Patrol Division and K9 units were assisted by the Westchester County Department of Public Safety’s Aviation Unit, but could not locate the suspects.

According to police, it is believed that the man was specifically targeted by the two suspects, and there “is no increased risk to public safety related to this incident.” No arrests have been made, though the investigation continues. Anyone with information regarding the incident has been asked to contact the Greenburgh Police Detective Division by calling (914) 682-5319.
