A clerk working at a smoke shop is facing charges for allegedly selling to a teenager in Northern Westchester.

Officers from the Yorktown Police Department were called to the Rocks Smoke Shop on Commerce Street shortly after 7:20 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 12, where there was a report of tobacco products allegedly being sold to a minor.

Police said that investigation into the alleged incident determined that Corona resident Xuefang Liu, 41, had sold tobacco to a 14-year-old, prompting his arrest.

Liu was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor. He was released and is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Jan. 10 to answer the charge.
