The Yorktown Police Department received a report on March 4 from a local resident who stated that Bronx resident David Mancini had violated the Temporary Order of Protection the day before by sending a text message.
Police said that an investigation determined that Mancini did violate the Order of Protection, and he was arrested at approximately 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon and charged with second-degree criminal contempt, a misdemeanor.
Following arraignment in Yorktown Justice Court, Mancini was released on his own recognizance and is due back in court on April 10 to answer the charge.
