The incident took place around 6:19 p.m., Monday, June 3, when Westchester County Police responded to Kensington Way in Mount Kisco on a report of a disturbance at a residence, said Kieran O'Leary, spokesman for the Westchester CountyPolice.
Upon arrival, officers found two men in a verbal dispute on the front porch.
One of them was clenching a set of keys in his fist with the jagged ends protruding. He was threating to strike the other male. The parties were separated by officers, O'Leary said.
The man with the keys, Mario Roy, 57, of Mount Kisco, refused the officers’ commands to drop them to the ground and continued screaming obscenities at the officers, he said.
He then came toward them in an aggressive manner and an officer deployed his Taser to stop the assault, O'Leary said.
Roy was taken into custody and transported to Northern Westchester Hospital Center for a medical evaluation.
He was charged with menacing and disorderly conduct, a violation. He is due to appear in Mount Kisco Justice Court on June 20.
