Driver Dies From Injuries In Single-Vehicle Taconic Parkway Crash

A man was killed Friday when he lost control of his vehicle and slammed into a tree, according to the New York State Police.

The single-vehicle crash occurred around 8 a.m. Friday on the southbound Taconic State Parkway at Exit 11 (Route 134) in Yorktown near the Northern Westchester/Putnam border, said Trooper AJ Hicks.

Police are still investigating what caused the rollover crash that killed the man, who had been given CPR at the crash site, he said.

The man's identity has not yet been released.
