This person of interest has been identified as Brian K. Maniotis, age 34, the husband of the victim.
Maniotis is possibly operating a gray 2015 Toyota Camry bearing NY registration GVU8129, police said.
Maniotis should be considered armed and dangerous, according to Yonkers PD.
Police ask the public to call 911 immediately if observed.
At approximately 3:18 p.m. Monday, members of the Yonkers Police Department responded to Sunnyside Drive to check on the welfare of a female resident.
A deceased female, later identified as 30-year-old Christina Maniotis, was located inside of the apartment.
Detectives and members of the Crime Scene Unit began an investigation and processing of the scene and have now classified the death as a homicide.
Investigators believe at this time that the victim was targeted and this was not a random incident.
This investigation is active and ongoing and no further information will be released at this time, police said.
