VALHALLA, N.Y. – Mildred A. Panny, of Valhalla, died on July 19. She was 87.
Panny was born on July 26, 1927 in Albany.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of New Rochelle and a Master's Degree in Elementary Education from the State University of New York at Oneonta, eventually becoming a teacher and the principal of the Institute for Applied Human Dynamics.
Panny was predeceased by her husband Frank, her brothers Joseph and George, and her sister Teresa. She is survived by her children, Christopher and his partner Diana Kacso, Stephen and his wife Christa, Barbara, Susan and her partner Debra Warn, and Francis Jr. and his wife Valerie, and four grandchildren, Gabriel, Ryan, Benjamin, and Michael Joseph.
Visiting hours are at Hawthorne Funeral Home on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m.
A funeral mass will be at Holy Name of Jesus Church in Valhalla on Friday at 10 a.m.
Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
