VALHALLA, N.Y. – Marie Gelsomino, of Valhalla, died peacefully March 10 surrounded by her loving family. She was 95.
Gelsomino was born Oct. 18, 1919, to Joseph and Rachel (nee Palladino) Macaluso in the Bronx.
She was predeceased by her husband, Michael Gelsomino, sisters Rose Giuliano, Anna Conte, Josephine Fiorito and Jenny Staniscia, and brothers George, Angelo, Peter and Joseph Macaluso.
Gelsomino is survived by children Frances Grimaldi and her husband Phillip; Ralph Gelsomino and his wife Paula; Joseph Gelsomino and his wife Vera; Donna DePaolis and her husband Henry and daughter-in-law Laura Gelsomino, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be from 5-9 p.m. Friday at Hawthorne Funeral Home.
There will be a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Holy Name of Jesus Church in Valhalla.
Interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne.
