VALHALLA, N.Y. - John Leon DiMaggio of Valhalla died April 22. He was 54.
DiMaggio was born Oct. 7, 1958, in the Bronx and lived most of his life in Valhalla. He was a 1976 graduate of Valhalla High School and attended Westchester Community College and Pace University. He was a longtime employee of the New York City Transit Authority (MABSTOA), and was a union member.
DiMaggio is survived by his parents, Dorothy and Benedetto DiMaggio of Valhalla; and his sister, Susan of Durham, N.C.
Calling hours are Thursday, April 25, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hawthorne Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, April, 26 at 10 a.m. at Holy Name of Jesus Church, Valhalla. Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne.
