HAWTHORNE, N.Y. - John R. Keegan of Hawthorne died July 10. He was 85.
Keegan was born July 18, 1927, in Mt. Kisco. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a manager with N.Y. Telephone Co. in New York City, retiring in 1985.
Keegan is survived by his children, Susan Keegan Ball (Richard Caruso) of North Myrtle Beach, S.C., Jack (Diana) Keegan of Boynton Beach, Fla., Kathleen (John) Mulligan of Albany, Peggy (Steve) Kardian of Hawthorne and Jim (Melissa) Keegan of East Greenbush; and eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Kathryn (Pachler) Keegan; and sister, Helen Barrett.
Calling hours are Sunday, July 14, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Hawthorne Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, July 15, at the Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne. Interment will be private.
