HAWTHORNE, N.Y. - Dorothy Frances O'Brien Finch of Hawthorne died Nov. 3. She was 85.
Finch was born Feb. 19, 1928, to William and Mary Catherine O'Brien in Mt. Vernon. She was a retired cosmetologist for B' Altmans and Neiman Marcus in White Plains. She held leadership roles in the Rosary Altar Society, Catholic Youth Organization, the Ladies of Charity, Passionate Retreat House.
Finch is survived by her children, James Kip (Judy) Finch of Jefferson City, Mo., Scott Emerson Finch of Hawthorne and Allison Lori (Stuart) Finch Doriss of Phoenix, Md.; and a grandson. She was predeceased by her parents.
Calling hours are Wednesday, Nov. 6 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Hawthorne Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 7 at the Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne. Interment will be at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne.
