MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. -- Mahopac resident Sue Young is a nurse who works with heart transplant patients at Westchester County Medical Center where she bought Thanksgiving to patients waiting for new hearts confined there, according to CBS New York.
Assisted by two daughter and co-workers, Young decorates the rooms of patients and cooks them a complete Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings, in time for the holidays, says the report.
It is a three-year-old tradition started by Young whose watched patients have difficulty during the holidays while in the hospital, the report says.
