Bassem Yousef, 30, was booked into jail on June 9 on a parole warrant and underlying drug possession charge, Pruyne said.

Yousef's is the second suicide at the jail this year. An investigation is taking place regarding the latest suicide, Pruyne said.

Another inmate, Alex Fusco, 26, of Mamaroneck, also hanged himself with his bed sheets in February. He was being held on drug and larceny charges.

Fusco's death was the first at the jail since 2004.
