Power Outage Update: Here Are Latest Numbers After Devastating Storms Tear Through Area

Dozens of Hudson Valley residents were left in the dark on Monday morning as crews scrambled to clean up the region following a spate of storms that left trees and tree limbs strewn about over the weekend.

As of 9:15 a.m. on Monday, July 1, 49 of NYSEG’s 15,621 Dutchess County customers, and 18 in Putnam County were without power, including 39 in Beekman and 10 in Pawling. Ten Central Hudson customers - seven in Red Hook and three in Poughkeepsie - were also without power, with complete restoration expected no later than 11:30 a.m.

Fifty-nine of Con Edison’s 348,198 customers in Westchester were also without power, including outages in New Rochelle (52); New Castle (six) and Yonkers (one).

On Sunday, June 30, thousands were impacted by the storm, which quickly hit the area, closing some streets in Northern Westchester due to downed utility lines.
