Nearly 40,000 Westchester County residents remain without power following the weekend Nor’easter as communities continue cleaning up from the storm that left downed trees and power lines throughout the Hudson Valley.

Among the 348,198 customers Con Edison serves, 39,142 were out of service as of 1:45 p.m. on Monday afternoon, with restoration expected at approximately 11 p.m. on Monday night.

More than 1,000 outages were reported in Cortlandt, Yorktown, New Castle, North Castle, Mount Pleasant, Rye, Harrison, Greenburgh, Yonkers, Mount Vernon, New Rochelle and Mamaroneck.

Con Edison has advised that over 290 out-of-state contractors have arrived to support the Westchester County recovery effort, with over 390 anticipated by tomorrow. Crews continue to represent that they will have power restored to at least 90% of Westchester County customers by late Tuesday night, leading into early Wednesday morning. Customers can report downed power lines, outages and check service restoration status at or by calling 1-800-75-CONED (1-800-752-6633).

Additionally, NYSEG is reporting that of their 32,806 customers, 19,801 are still without power in Westchester.
