ID Released For Victim Of Westchester Fatal Shooting

A man gunned during a shooting in Westchester County on Wednesday has been identified, according to Mount Vernon city officials.

A man was shot and killed outside The Modern on South Macquesten Parkway in Mount Vernon.

Donovan Brown, 24, of Mount Vernon, was shot and killed, outside of 15 S. Macquesten Parkway shortly after midnight, said City Spokeswoman Maria Donovan.

A second man was also shot during the event but officials are not releasing information regarding his condition.

No other details were immediately released by police. Detectives are actively investigating the shooting.

The shooting took place near The Modern apartment building which recently opened across the street from an MTA police station.
