Seven young women were rushed to a local hospital after the vehicle they were riding in slammed into a telephone pole in Westchester.
The crash occurred around 11:45 p.m. Wednesday on Saw Mill River Road in Yonkers, Police Lt Michael Hanley said.
All seven of the women received non-life threatening injuries, Hanley said.
The roadway was closed for a short time for a crash investigation, Hanley said.
First responders had to cut their way into the 2011 Nissan to rescue some of the women, officials said.
Hanley said the cause of the crash is under investigation.
