22-Year-Old Admits To Fatal Shooting Of Westchester Man

A 22-year-old man has pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the shooting death of a Westchester County man.

Johnathan Jeanty, of Mount Vernon, pleaded guilty to the first-degree felony charge on Wednesday, Sept. 15, according to Westchester County District Attorney Miriam Rocah.

Rocah said Jeanty fatally shot 24-year-old Tremell Robinson, of Yonkers, at about 1 a.m. on April 12.

The two had reportedly me up to fight in Mount Vernon and both had a weapon, the DA's Office said.  

Robinson was shot once and pronounced dead at the hospital, Rocah said. 

Police arrested Jeanty on April 16.

Jeanty is set to be sentenced on Jan. 6, 2022, the DA's Office reported.
