Rosh Hashanah Services Set In Mount Pleasant

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – The Rosenthal Jewish Community Center will host high holiday services this weekend for Rosh Hashanah in conjunction with the Pleasantville Community Synagogue. 

The schedule for the weekend is as followed:

On Sunday, Sept. 16, a Rosh Hashanah service will be held at the community center from 7 to 9 p.m.

Another service will be held Monday, Sept. 17, at the JCC from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and will be followed by a luncheon. Then at 2 p.m., the synagogue will hold its Tashlich service in Nannahagen Park at 2 p.m. to celebrate the new season. 

A final Rosh Hashanah ceremony will be held at the JCC on Tuesday, Sept. 18, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The Rosenthal JCC is located at 600 Bear Ridge Road in Pleasantville. Nannahagen Park is located on Lake Street in Pleasantville, adjacent to the village pool.

Schools in the Pleasntville School District, the Mount Pleasant Central School District and the Valhalla School District will be closed Monday and Tuesday for the holiday.
