Heat's No Bother for Thornwood Man

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. -- The hot weather didn’t faze Thornwood resident and frequent Tarrytown visitor Jason Spoor as he sat outside the Washington Irving Boat Club Wednesday afternoon. In fact, he said he’s a fan of hot weather.

“It’s pretty hot, but you know what? I like it,” he said. “I like it like this. I think I was a lizard in another life.”

Spoor had been outside, relaxing by the lapping waves of the Hudson River for about an hour and a half, while other Tarrytowners did the same. The sunshine, he said, makes him feel good. With the National Weather Service predicting that temperatures will stay in the upper 90s, Spoor was excited.

“I can’t wait,” he said. “Bring it. Bring the heat.”
