However, the establishment recently underwent a massive interior transformation, thanks to Kevin Oliveros, who took over operations about six months ago.
Oliveros is also known for his Ossining eatery, Brothers Fish & Chips.
Risotto is described as a cozy trattoria serving an array of risottos as well as other Italian specialties like pizza, pasta and more. The eatery now offers a classic and modern aesthetic with a bar and outdoor patio.
Each risotto dish offered at the restaurant is chef-crafted using Arboria Rice along with seasonal ingredients and varying weekly specials. Sauces, dressings and stocks are made from scratch. Wines and craft cocktails are personally selected to complement each menu item as well.
The restaurant also obtains many of its breads, pasta, seafood and other ingredients from local artisans, farms, fish markets and other sustainable sources.
Clearly, Risotto prioritizes every aspect of the dining experience - from the service to the atmosphere and of course, the quality of the food itself.
It’s no surprise that Risotto’s attention to detail and care for the culinary craft has earned it a four-star rating on Yelp and 4.5/5 stars on Facebook. From the menu items to the service, atmosphere and more, Risotto has definitely developed its fair share of regular customers.
“Met a friend of mine. Food was delicious. We both had the seafood risotto. Staff was amazing. No rush and they let us know to take our time. I can't wait to go back!” wrote Janine S. in a May 7 Yelp review.
