These Westchester Beaches, Pools To Open: Here's When As the temperatures get warmer, Westchester residents will soon be able to cool off at several county-owned beaches and pools that will soon open. Beginning on Saturday, May 25 through Monday, May 27, Croton Point Beach in Croton-on-Hudson and Glen Island Beach in New Rochelle will open on a pre-season basis, Westchester County Parks announced.  Following this, both beaches will open on weekends and holidays only until Sunday, June 23. Westchester 'Bicycle Sundays' Schedule Released Cyclists will soon be able to enjoy the colorful foliage on a stretch of the Bronx River Parkway with the return of "Bicycle Sundays." Westchester County officials announced that a portion of the parkway is set to close to vehicles for the exclusive use of bicyclists, joggers, walkers, scooters, and strollers on select dates in September and October. The course will run from the Westchester County Center in White Plains south to Scarsdale Road in Yonkers, for a round-trip of 13.1 miles, officials reported.
