Rye Native Dr. Louis Barton Was A True Scholar Longtime Westchester resident Dr. Louis Wyatt Gunn Barton died in late August at Little Farm, his home of 40 years in Ocie, MO.  Dr. Barton, age 72, was a lifelong student with prodigious academic successes. He was top student and class president at George School, and he graduated magna cum laude from Yale. Yonkers Native Joan Marie (Cronin) Hastings, Devoted Community Volunteer, Dies At 88 After a long life defined by commitment and adventure, Joan Hastings passed away Saturday afternoon, Jan. 5, 2019 in Scottsdale, AZ, at the age of 88. Hastings is predeceased by two husbands, William Hastings (1923-1994) whom she married on October 24, 1953 in Yonkers, and Earl Terp (1927-2016) whom she married February 10, 2010 in Tucson, AZ. She is survived by one sister, Diane of Falmouth, ME. Hastings had five children, Bill Jr. (Debbie) of Falmouth, ME, Paul (Todd) of Palm Springs, CA, Mark of Mesa, AZ, Julie (Bruce) of Scottsdale, AZ and Geoff of Des Moines, IA and nine grandchildren …
