I-87 Crash Involving Overturned Vehicle Causes Gridlock Near New TZB
This story has been updated. Both lanes reopened by noontime after a crash involving an overturned car and two others vehicles caused gridlock on a stretch of I-87 near the new Tappan Zee Bridge late Friday morning. The southbound incident occurred around 10:15 a.m. at Exit 9 (Route 9) with stopped traffic at the scene and Westchester-bound delays stretching back over the span.

Bucket Truck Leaks Fuel In Three-Vehicle Westchester Crash
A three-vehicle crash closed down a major roadway and required hazmat officials for a fuel spill late Thursday morning in Westchester. The crash, that included a bucket truck that overturned, occurred around 10:11 a.m. Dec. 27 Thursday on Saw Mill River Road in Ardsley, Ardsley Police said. The truck leaked about 50 gallons of fuel that has been cleared. Ardsley police said there were no major injuries and the roadway has reopened.

Driver Treated For Injuries After Rollover Crash In Mamaroneck
A driver was treated for injuries after losing control of his car and rolling over in Mamaroneck on Monday morning. First responders were dispatched at approximately 9 a.m. on Christmas Eve to Old White Plains Road, near the intersection of Bruce Road, where there was a report of a one-car crash in the area that rolled over. According to fire officials, the driver was able to extradite himself from the vehicle and he was treated for minor injuries by members of the Larchmont Ambulance Corps. The cause of the crash was not released.

Tractor-Trailer Crashes Into Route 9A Overpass
A tractor-trailer backed up traffic for just over an hour after hitting a bridge overpass on Route 9A in Briarcliff Manor on Friday afternoon, according to police. The vehicle got stuck under the overpass around 2:30 p.m. and was stuck for about an hour before a tow truck could come and move it, Briarcliff Police said. The overpass was inspected and deemed safe, they added. Traffic was back up and running by 3:30 p.m.

Hutchinson Parkway Back Up To Speed Following Tractor-Trailer Crash That Closed Lane
Traffic is back up to speed on the Hutchinson River Parkway after a tractor-trailer wedged itself under an overpass, backing up traffic for miles during the afternoon. The truck hit the underpass about 2:14 p.m. Tuesday, blocking one southbound lane at East Lincoln Avenue. Westchester County police said the rig, which was carrying metal products, was clipped by a car after hitting the overpass. Police said no one was injured.

Tanker Fire Causes Route 22 Closure
Route 22 is shut down in both directions Saturday night in the Town of Amenia between the Amenia Town Hall and the intersection of Route 343 following a tanker fire, the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office reports just before 9:30 p.m. Traffic can still travel west on Route 44 towards Millbrook and east on Route 343 towards Connecticut. Driver Strikes Pole On Busy Westchester Road
A busy Westchester roadway was temporarily shut down on Thursday afternoon. The incident occurred on West Hartsdale Avenue eastbound with the closure from Ridge Road to Hillcrest Road due to a broken Con Edison pole that a motorist crashed into. During the repairs, the westbound lane stayed open. The broken pole did not impact area residents, none of whom lost power from the break. The condition of the driver was not available on Thursday afternoon.
