A 26-year-old has been accused of setting fire to the Hudson Valley home of a state trooper’s father after being issued traffic tickets. According to Orange County District Attorney David M. Hoovler, the man, Tyler Williams, was pulled over and issued traffic tickets by a trooper while driving in Middletown on the evening of Dec. 20, 2023. Missing 47-Year-Old Man Found Dead, State Police Say
Update: The 47-year-old man who went missing in the area over the weekend has been found dead, state police said. Brian E. Lienemann of Orange County was located deceased near his residence in Goshen, police said on Tuesday afternoon, July 9. Lienemann had last been seen on Sunday morning, July 7, at his residence on Route 17A. Police say his death is under investigation. Further information has not yet been released. Officer Sentenced In Connection To Deaths Of Nine Horses
A 52-year-old woman was sentenced to two years in jail for the deaths of nine horses and the mistreatment of a 10th. Jeanne Ryan of Goshen was sentenced Thursday after being found guilty in July to 10 felony counts of animal cruelty and 10 counts of overdriving, torturing and injuring animals by a jury, said the Orange County District Attorney's Office, Ryan, a retired New York City police officer, was sentenced to multiple concurrent sentences of two years, the DA's Office said. Woman Convicted In Bench Trial After Deaths Of Nine Horses At Area Farm
A 52-year-old woman was found guilty Tuesday of 10 felony counts of aggravated cruelty to animals in connection with the deaths of nine horses on a farm in the area. Jeanne Ryan of Goshen was also found guilty of the mistreatment of another horse, which survived, as well as for overdriving, torturing, injuring, and underfeeding the horses.
