$6.5M To Go Toward Repaving Stretch Of Busy Main Route In Westchester State officials have revealed that an extensive repaving project will soon improve conditions on a busy stretch of a main route in Northern Westchester.  In an announcement on Friday, May 10, New York State Sen. Pete Harckham and Assemblymember Chris Burdick revealed a $6.5 million resurfacing and paving project has started on a stretch of Route 35. The project will center on improving conditions on the 5.9-mile stretch of Route 35 between Route 22 in Bedford and Mead Street in Lewisboro. According to Gov. Beloved Deputy Town Supervisor In Westchester Dies: 'Quiet, Strong, Real, Solid' A beloved former town employee, husband, and father from Northern Westchester is being remembered for his ever-caring nature despite his stoic outward appearance.  Leo P. Masterson of Cross River, who worked as Comptroller and Deputy Town Supervisor for the town of Lewisboro, died on Thursday, Aug. 24 at the age of 66 after an 11-month battle with peritoneal mesothelioma, according to his obituary.  Born on Staten Island in 1957, Masterson was both a standout student and athlete and played football and baseball in high school.
